30DDC DAY 21 - Something I want

I meet one of these little cuties years ago at a pet store and fell in love! It was an adorable little blue lineolated parakeet. It had so much personality in such a tiny package. I used to have budgies, and I loved them, but these precious birds... I want one so bad!!!! About equal with wanting a hedgehog!

Ok, so I took a few sick days. Well, I'm back now, here's number 17...

My favorite plant, the lilac. Not only is it my favorite flower, but I remember spending many summer days as a child playing the our family's massive lilac bushes. They're actually four big separate bushes in a line with three spaces between making perfect little secret forts. My own version of The Secret Garden.

Drawing: A turning point

Well, let's be honest here, I can't really think of a turning point in my life, not one that I could draw anyway. So, here's a llama I drew a while ago. 

It's sort of based on a series of sketches by filmcow on YouTube called Llamas with Hats. Well(I'm channeling the tenth doctor with all these 'wells'), I drew a llama that I found through a google image search for llamas and felt it was missing something.

But here it is! BBC's Sherlock!!! Well, this is my drawing of a drawing that I found on Pinterest that is of a animalization(not sure that's a word, I know there is a word for it... It's late...) of BBC's Sherlock.

A little proud of this sketch, took about an hour, the lettering is wonky, but I did that last so...

Tomorrow Starts a New... Thing

So, apparently it's been close to two years since I've posted here(not that this is anything but for recording stuff for my own purposes). I just read my last post, I think the $5 money savings thing lasted for a few months before I gave up. It seemed like the cashiers everywhere kept giving me back fives exclusively every time I used cash. So I was stashing away all m cash and kept having to go back to the bank and get more so it was just silly. Oh well.

But anyway, I've decided to do a 30 Day Drawing Challenge! Since September has 30 days I figured this would be the perfect time! I've been wanting to get back into my drawing(and blogging), I've missed it, but I tend to get stuck on figuring what to draw. I'm not one for randomness. -.- Last year I bought a book of drawing ideas but haven't really used it, so maybe this will get me back into the swing of things!

I plan on doing my drawings (laid out by this chart I found on Pinterest) and snapping a picture with my phone and uploading it. I might end up doing the posting the day after I draw because I'll probably be drawing at night and any picture I might take will look like a horrible yellow mess. But we'll see what happens!
